“Paper Cup Robot”
Today our young engineers explored basic engineering concepts by designing and constructing robots using paper cups and simple materials
The learning journey began with demonstrations and videos about robot movement to spark curiosity. Students then brainstormed and sketched their own robot designs, identifying materials and imagining how their robots would function.
During the hands-on phase, children assembled their robots using paper cups with creative decorations, experimenting with movement and balance. After building, they tested their creations, observed the results, and made improvements based on what they learned. The activity concluded with each student proudly showcasing their unique robot.
Through this engaging project, students developed creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while strengthening fine motor abilities and building confidence by overcoming challenges. They also practiced critical thinking as they reflected on their learning process and shared ideas for future improvements.
