The Trunk of the Tree ðģ
Kindergarten 2/2 students are currently learning about plants. This week, we focused on the trees they see around the school. To enhance their understanding, the children explored different trees in the garden. They examined various tree trunks and observed their characteristics, such as texture, color, and size. Using their hands, the children measured the circumference of the tree trunks and recorded the measurements on their worksheets. They also took pictures of the trunks as references for a written activity. In this activity, they drew and replicated the trunks, identified the tree species, described the trunks’ characteristics, and presented their work to the class. Through this lesson, the students enjoyed engaging outdoor experiences and gained a hands-on understanding of trees.
